Things to try and do and find out in Ireland

With rolling green hills, charm and rich culture, Ireland is packed full of wondrous things to do and sights to see. If you visit Northern Ireland or Southern Ireland There is an amazing amount of activities and ancient monuments on such a small island.

DublinIreland's capital, Dublin is alive with Irish spirit and culture. There are many bus tours throughout the city, which allow you to take in as much history as possible. There's an enormous array of attractions to see in close proximity to the town center. Dublin Castle is a mix with a variety of Irish histories, including the medieval Royal chapel as well as a Viking fortress. The Guinness Store House is a must-see. You can discover the process of brewing and transportation system; you can even enjoy a pint for free! Take a stroll down the street to St Patrick's Cathedral to check out the local historical background.

The Giants Causeway
The Causeway is made up of stunning cliffs and tranquil bays, mixed in with an imposing atmosphere and legend. Explore beyond the stunning landscape and see the lifestyles of past generations amongst small harbours along the coast. There are stunning fishing lodges and rock formations along the coastline, that will delight you.

Cork
In The South West of Ireland, Cork is the second largest town in the country. A well-known tourist spot, Cork is packed full of activities for maps of ireland your family, including Cork's Model Railway and National Aquarium. There's a wide variety of theatre, music and dance performances throughout Cork, which is great for entertainment at night as well as a fantastic location to shop for distinctive Irish souvenirs in antique boutiques.

Bru na Bainne- The Passage of Tombs
The World Heritage site is one of the most significant prehistoric site in Europe, and it is a must to experience during your visit. It is more ancient than the Egyptian Pyramids and contains around 40 passage graves. Situated on the River Boyne, the area is also ideal to explore by walking.

The Brazen Head Pub, Dublin
The Brazen Head pub is believed to be the oldest of Dublin and has a the traditional Irish style. The pub is said to be haunted, and dating back to 1198. The Brazen Head is a ideal spot to visit for a traditional Irish lunch and a pint of Guinness.

Galway Cathedral
The cathedral is located on the banks of the River Corrib in Galway City, in the centre of a vibrant community. The cathedral has regular services and is a great place to experience the religious routes of Ireland. Even if you're not religious The Cathedral will enlighten your experience with Irish tradition and culture. A perfect time to go would be when there is this year's Galway International Oyster Festival between 22nd and 25th September 2011.

Belfast
This Northern Ireland Capital is packed with activities, entertainment shopping, and museums. It is best to go is in the Cathedral Quarter Arts Festival held between 2nd and 31st May 2011. The festival hosts an array of international talents that bring music, comedy, as well as street theater to the centre of Belfast.
